Ray COMBS Obituary


News Death Notice

COMBS, Ray age 90, of Kettering, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2013. Ray was a United States Army Veteran proudly serving during WWII and a member of VFW Post #9927. He retired from Dayton Tire and Rubber with over 35 years of service. Ray is survived by his children and spouses: Danny (Debbie) Combs, Phyllis (Walt) Wilson, Robert (Trish Wysong) Combs, Shelly (Mark) Kussman; grandchildren: Kevin, Bryan, Todd, Paul & Kylee; great grandchildren: Matthew, Lily, Madison, Colin, Brianna, Emma, Bella, Cameron & Kaylin; and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife: Betty (Nazarenus) Combs; father: Jeremiah Combs; mother: Angelina Neace; step-mother: Bertha Noble Combs; brothers: Alonzo, Woodrow, Ned, Monroe & Peter; sisters: Lillie Mae & Isabella. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:00 P.M. until time of service. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 18, 2013 at Heritage Hills Memorial Gardens in Springboro. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either: Hospice of Dayton, the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society in memory of Ray.
