News Death Notice
PALM, USAF (Ret.), Maj. Richard H. "Dick" Age 84 of Fairborn, passed away July 21, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born October 17, 1931 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Harold and Eva (Gebel) Palm. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam, retiring after 22 years of service. Dick enjoyed baking; was an avid photographer; pet therapy trainer, evaluator and handler; and educator. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Palm. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Micciche; 4 children, John (Paula) Palm, Mark (Kristin) Palm, Stephen Palm, James (Christy Frazier) Palm; 2 granddaughters, Caytlin (Scott) Van Dusen, Annalise (Greg) Romeiser; brother, Paul (Pat) Palm; a good friend, Harold (Linda) Underwood; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family. A visitation will be held on Sunday July 24, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 PM in the Belton -Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn. A funeral will be held on Monday July 25, 2016 at 10 AM in the David's Cemetery Community Mausoleum Chapel, 4600 Mad River Rd., Kettering. Dick Palm was a gentleman in every respect. He was a customer and soon a friend and there were none finer. He will be missed. My thoughts go out to the family.
