Claudia,

Steve and I were so shocked to learn of Bob's passing! Thankfully, Buff was so thoughtful to contact me with the sad news!

We found your Bob to be the nicest of men, full of warmth, friendliness and hospitality. We both regret not getting to know you both, even better, while we could!

I am praying that you find great comfort in the Lord, at this time of grief!

Again, be assured of my prayers for you, at this time!

Claudia,

I was stunned when Leo gave me the news Monday morning. After the shock had worn off a little, we began to reminisce about Bob and you couldn't help but smile when you remembered the character that he was and the incredible spirit for life that he had. He touched a lot of people back here at Raytheon and is remembered fondly by all. He will truly be missed and I am sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Claudia,

We are so sorry. I was absolutely shocked to hear of Bob's passing, especially after our recent conversation with him at Holly's, when Lynelle and I were in Ohio, last month. Although I did not know Bob for as long, or to the depth that others may have, our occasional meetings over the past several years gave me quite an insight to the man, and I appreciated his intelligence and his humor... he always had a smile, and had something interesting to relate. Although this may not fill the void, you can be comforted in the fact that Bob followed his passions during life, and achieved many goals that very few can boast... and he very obviously loved you.

Claudia, I am saddened by your sudden loss. I am also sorry I did not keep in better contact with him over the past 9 years since he retired from Raytheon and we went our separate ways. Bob was a very influential person in my life and was a great mentor to me as a young engineer. I appreciate all of his knowledge that I was able to grasp from him in the 4 years I had the pleasure to work with him. I enjoyed our intellectual talks in which he expressed his political views and the few times had the chance to hike with him in Alamogordo up to the top of the Mesa. Bob was always enjoyable to be around because of his knack for conversation and humor. My family and I are very sorry for your loss.

Love, Craig, Heidi, Cassidy and Jace Cowell

Claudia, I was totally shocked to hear of Bob's death. While I did not know him long I was totally smitten with the force of his personality and his intellect during our various discussions at the wine tastings at Fairfield Wine. Bob is unforgettable to anyone who has met him. Bob taught me a lot during our time together and I certainly won't forget him.
