Robert MOORE Obituary

MOORE, Robert Earl "Bob"

April 14, 1932 - Nov. 26, 2020

This past Thanksgiving, Nov. 26th, 2020, our beloved Robert Earl "Bob" Moore, 88, went to be with the Lord.

Bob was born in Middletown, Ohio, on April 14, 1932, to Earl and Mary Moore. He was blessed with twin brothers, John and Jim, when he was attending college at Otterbein in Westerville, Ohio. Also, while at Otterbein, he met and married Doris Kelk. They raised their three daughters Debbie, Cindy and Barbie in Middletown, Ohio, and eventually moved to Waco, Texas.

Throughout his life, he served many roles working for ARMCO Steel, Success Motivation Institute, McLennan Community

College, American College of Real Estate, and Trinity Valley Junior College, always in a position to lead and teach others. He was an advocate for small business owners and constantly encouraged others to seek out business opportunities.

After losing his wife Doris in 1998, he met and fell in love with Ann Stephens of Canton. They married in October 1999. With their families combined, they have a total of six children, 13 grandchildren, and now 11 great-grandchildren. They have lived out the past 20 plus years in Canton where they both have continued to impact the local community. Bob was proud to travel to Austin in 2013, to encourage lawmakers to make Canton the official Walking Capital of Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Mary Moore, his brother James Moore, and his wife and mother of his children, Doris Kelk Moore.

Bob is survived by his wife, Ann Moore, of Canton; brother, John Moore and Donna of Englewood, Ohio; daughter,

Debbie Taylor and Max of Corsicana, daughter, Cindy Dean and Don of Houston, daughter, Barbie Grossman and Larry of Plano; Lynn Taylor and Gary of Longview, Tom Stephens of Cisco, Texas, and Brock Stephens and Sarah of Virginia. He leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He also is survived by his brother-in-law, Jay Kelk and Janet of Mountainside, New Jersey, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations can be made to Bob's Church, Radiant Church, 19830 I20, Canton, TX 75103.
