Robert Stubbs Obituary
News Death Notice
STUBBS, Robert "Bobby" Lee 63, Stockbridge, GA, passed away March 25, 2011. Bobby is a proud Veteran of the United States Army, 196th Light Infantry. While serving in Vietnam, he received Purple Heart Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Sharpshooter (Rifle) Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal. Bobby is survived by children, Brittany Leigh Stubbs and Robert "Beau" Lee Stubbs, Jr.; grandson, Kyler Ricardo Lee Garcia, Brittany's son; Brittany and Beau's mother, Saundra Leigh Stubbs; Gary Brent Heflin, step-son and wife Teresa, their children, Gary Dale and Jadynn Brent. Bobby is survived by sister Susie Stubbs Kiefaber, brother-in-law Don Kiefaber, Lilburn, GA and their children Abby Kiefaber Doyle and husband Brian Doyle, Ryan Kiefaber, Tyler Kiefaber. Survived by sister Joan Lansaw, brother-in-law Ray Lansaw, Germantown, OH and their children Ed Lansaw, Gail Chmielewski, Leslie Brooks, Kristie Speck. Seven great - nieces and five great-nephews survive Bobby. Family preceding him in death are parents, Charles "Stubby" and Gertrude "Trudy" Stubbs; three brothers, Chuck Stubbs, Jimmy Kalbaugh, Jerry Kalbaugh. Family and friends are invited to a Gathering at 1:00 with a service of celebration for Bobby's life at 3:00, Sunday, April 3, 2011, at his family's home. Call 404-448-1420 for information on the Gathering. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery, Middletown, OH, and date yet to be determined.

It is very hard for me to find the words to express my feelings for Bobby's Home Going.As
My memories of the Stubbs go back to 1952 Middletown Ohio.
I wish I had been able to keep in touch with Bobby & You over the yrs.
Bobby & Chucky are now at rest together but they remain alive in our Heart and Memory as long as we Live .
They both left Foot Prints on my Heart and I will never forget them.
I know that someday when it is my turn to cross over I will see them again.

We will have a memorial service and a military burial service for my dear brother, Bobby, June 18th at 11:00 am in the Woodside Cemetary Chapel in Middletown, Ohio where Bobby will be laid to rest with other members of our family.

Bobbys memorial service in Stockbridge, Georgia on April 3, 2011 was the most beautiful service I have ever been to. The service was held in Saundra Stubbs beautifully landscaped yard. The weather was warm and sunny and the music,friends,family,flowers, food and service by Rev. Jody Shaw was all a great honor to Bobby. During the song "You Lift Me Up" a breeze swept by and I know Bobby was off to heaven. It gives me chills but also peace knowing Bob was honored and is cherished by many. A memorial service will also be held in Middletown possibly the first part of June. This guestbook is going to remain open so that I can post the date and locations of the memorial service. I have also posted a few pictures from the memorial in Georgia. I love you Bob. Your Niece Gail

The Lucente Family from Dayton Ohio offers our sincere sympathy on the passing of Bob. He was a special part of our lives in the 1960's. He and his brother, Chuck, were great fun. He was absent from our lives for many years but he was never forgotten. We often would retell "Bob and Chuck" stories to the delight of our children.

Bobby, Although we have not seen each other in awhile I thought of you often. You and Susie have always been so special to me. I still remember you paying me to scratch your back when I was little, we had a lot of fun times together. You have two beautiful children, the light of your life.
