Gerth, Ronald Frederick

Age 94, was born on November 2, 1930, in Covington, KY and the Lord called him to his heavenly home on August 26, 2025. He married Laverne Haney in 1955. They were married for 59 years until Laverne's passing. Ron's parents Edwin and Grace Gerth preceded him in death. Ron had one brother, James, who is deceased. Two sons survive Ron: Greg (Linda) and Brad (Karen), two grandchildren; Michelle (James) Wright and Robert (Christine) Gerth, and six great grandchildren: Adam Wright, Isaac Wright, Chelsea Wright, Rebekah Gerth, Elizabeth Gerth and Abigail Gerth. Ron graduated from Simon Kenton High School in 1948. After graduation, he proudly served in the U. S. Air Force from 1948 to 1952. He was employed until retirement at Cincinnati Incorporated from 1952 to 1993. He was a long-time member at First Baptist Church Hamilton, OH. He served on various boards, committees, and taught Sunday School during those years. Ron loved the Lord, his family, and his country. Our family is forever grateful to the wonderful people at Westover Retirement Community and Hospice of Cincinnati for the exceptional and compassionate care they provided to our dad and entire family. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, September 6th with the funeral service following.
