News Death Notice

HOLLAND, Ruth Elizabeth Age 90 of Butler Township, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born September 21, 1918 in West Milton, daughter of the late Earl & Vinnie Jacobs. She was a member of the First Grace Brethren Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, 1 sister Rena Jacobs, 3 brothers, Marvin, Merle & Don Jacobs. Ruth is survived by 1 daughter, Beverly Holland and husband Earl Pittman of Vandalia; 2 sons & daughters-in-law, Terry & Carolyn Holland of Mission, TX & Ron & Cindra Holland of Dayton; her twin sister, Reva Shaffer of Vandalia; 8 grandchildren, Angela, Randy, John, Jason, Brett, Bryce, Kathleen, Isaac; 14 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren and numerous other relatives & friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, August 7 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor Mark Saunders & Pastor Forrest Jackson officiating. Burial at Riverside Cemetery, West Milton. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Thursday (TODAY) from 5 to 8 P.M. If so desired contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Ruths memory.
