North, Ruth Elaine

Ruth Elaine North, age 80, of Centerville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025, at Tapestry Senior Living in Springboro, Ohio.

Born to Raymond and Lucille Myers, Ruth was the youngest of seven and raised in Dayton near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. She attended Stebbins High School where she met the love of her life, Cliff North. The two married in 1964 and built a beautiful life together, raising two daughters who adored her.

In 1980, Ruth began a fulfilling career in real estate, quickly becoming known for her compassion, honesty, and unwavering support of first-time homebuyers. Her clients often became lifelong friends, returning to her again and again for guidance as their families grew.

To know Ruth was to love her. She was bold, quick-witted, and unapologetically herself-often making others laugh with her sharp humor and endearing candor. As her journey came to a close, she had woven a tapestry of treasured friendships and warm connections, a testament to her deep kindness and magnetic spirit. Her joyful presence and generous heart will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

She is survived by her daughters Liz Knecht (Rich) and Melissa North; grandchildren Jon and Jordan Knecht, CJ and Jacob Eichler; sister Peg Norris; and many dear friends including Donna Czechowski who was an anchor for Ruth and her girls along this journey.
