Scott was one of my best friends in High School. I always admired both his competence and kindness. I particularly remember all our crazy camping and backpacking trips together from our trip to Philmont and the time we slept in a car hanging off a bluff in a blizzard at Trail of Tears park. Scott has always had a strong faith in God and went out of his way a few years ago to help some of our high school friends who had fallen on tough times. I really treasure the time he and Meegan spent with my wife and I a few years ago at Lake of the Ozarks. I will greatly miss my friend and I feel sorry for Scott's family and all those who will miss him. He was a truly good man.
