Ted Andrew´s books are my greatest treasures, since a teacher introduced me-I have never been the same. Now, to find these words here, in love and gratitude to this remarkable spirit, we call Ted Andrews, makes me cry. A teacher of positivity, and our guide to the simplest life of great purpose, he continues to be a gift to humanity. I feel him with me, his gift so poignant. I love you, Ted.

With deep condolences to your family Ted. I wish I had written earlier. Your books have influenced and threaded through my life like a friend. I have never known you personally but I wished I had---and maybe I did through your work. Thank you for sharing your talent with the world. I thought of you today, as I drove home in the deep woods of Vermont a Great Blue Heron was standing in the middle of the road. Thank you for your gifts you've blessed us with. May this next part of your journey even after all these years remain blessed with love. And may your wife and family be wrapped in comfort, peace and love.

i am heartbroken. on this beautiful day in akron ohio, after breakfast with friends, took out a chair and sat in the sun with this animal-speak book which has been laying around for years.....got engrossed in it and brought it in to look up Ted Andrews and write him a heartfelt letter.....only to discover sadly he passed away. i wanted to thank him and tell him how inspiring his book is....and that before starting it, was looking up at the clouds!! wanted to tell him that there was a cloud shaped like a lynx, but that i chose the elephant first. not sure why; then wanted to tell him about an experience back in the 80's in new mexico that i'll never forget. isn't it amazing how a person can make a difference years after they pass away. so grateful for his kindness and even going to read more about him, particularly regarding the Kaballah, as i am jewish. just goes to show his energy is still so vital.

Kathy, I hope you smile each time you glance at this book. there are so very many people who loved Ted and were influenced by him. I know I was. He is the one who taught me about sound therapy and speaking to our guides and angels. He taught me to embrace nature.

He walked me down the aisle, and made me laugh whilst doing it! He didn't even mind when you and Tom drank all the chocolate cup cordials at the reception! You gotta agree, he had a great sense of humor!

I was lucky enough to see him while we lived in England. I surprised him by attending one of his seminars in London. And indeed, it took him off guard! I always wished we could have seen more of him, but I know his job on earth was to not only inspire his family, but the rest of the world. And that he did!

Its the small things I miss most, my birthday cards from you Ted, every year. They always made me laugh. Playing" Alley Cat" on the piano every Christmas, even though you knew a hundred other songs! (though I know you always wished Terry would teach you "96 Tears!!!") Your quiet ways amidst a family of loud cacophony. Introducing me to the wondrous woods by our house, your long hair, your pinto car, and your magical ways with children and honoring of the animal and nature world.

The one word of wisdom I have repeated thousands of times in my life, and has become my mantra:

Every Flower has a Fairy and Every Tree has a Spirit

This came from you Ted. What a gift to embrace!

Thanks for visiting me often, I can't wait to see you again!

Love,
Tamara

Ted Andrews was my godfather. I truly feel blessed that I have been able to call such a special person that title. It's a relationship that I will forever remember and always cherish. Although we really only saw each other on special occasions, the time spent together was always of great value to myself and everyone around him.

When I was younger I attended a lecture where Uncle Ted spoke about the human aura. being how young I was at the time I was instantly fascinated by it and interpreted it as some sort of invisible force field. Not a great story aside from I think my aura was pink of all colors, but it was the first time I was able to experience how much of a spiritual person Ted truly was.

I'll go out on a limb and say he's probably the only legitimately famous Andrews' this world has ever seen and I still tell my friends I have a famous uncle who writes best sellers.

Rest In Peace Uncle Ted, you will forever live through your words and the many peoples lives you touched.

Here is the Eulogy I gave at Ted's memorial in Dayton
In 1963, a scientist at MIT wrote a doctoral thesis that basically changed the way everyone would forever look at and understand our world..Edward Lorenz was mathematician, actuallydissatisfied with the way that scientists had been studying the world for the previous 20 some years using linear modeling. Because Lorenz felt that the world and life was not linear and sequentialHe felt it was dynamic and complex; alive and vibrant, constantly being affected by and changing in its complexity.
He coined his thoughts in his thesis as the Butterfly Effect. Now if you are not familiar with the Butterfly Effect, basically he proposed that a few butterflies flapping their wings in one part of the world would move other molecules of air that in turn would move https://static.legacy.net/guestbooks/images/ng/close.pngsome other air molecules and continue to affect other air molecules rippling in random motion across the world that would eventually create a hurricane in the South Atlantic.
Now the scientific community didn't give it much respect. It was ridiculous. The National Academy of Science disregarded it and the National Science Foundation in NY even ridiculed it.
But it was interesting! And because it was interesting it hung around forever in stories and urban legend and mythUntil the mid 1990's in the growing physics field of Chaos Theory when scientists proved the Butterfly Effect was accurate.and viable.and workedevery singletime. In fact, it now given the status as a law of science as significant as the Law of Gravity. It is the physical law of Sensitive Dependence Upon Initial Conditions. And it is true and real and works every time.
And it doesn't work just with butterflies either and not just air molecules, but it worked with every form of moving matter. including.people. And I thinkTed is an extraordinary example of this law.

So here is a young man
•moving those molecules around as a teacher: even teaching high school dropouts
•Then he begins writing and stirs up some more of those molecules affecting a wider range of people with his differing ideas and thoughts about the world
•And then begins to talk.and teach more.and create life experiences that change and affect more people with his workshops, his presentations, discussions..at conferences, organizations and bookstores and neighborhoods across that country that most of wouldn't recognize. Always willing to talk; to move people in large groups, small groups, and one-on-one conversations. Making that Butterfly Effect.
•And published even more36 books in allfew authors are so prolificand spoke evermore
And.has affected thousands of people..And more to come who knows how many people the cascading waves of his wake have touched and will touchcertainly all of us, his family, his friends, his associates & colleagues, his clients and students. Who knows how many lives that aren't even born yet will be touched? And how those he has affected will in turn even unknowingly affect others! .Generations to come
You know, Psychology show us that when there is any significant interaction between two people, we typically will tell 9 others; who will tell 9 others and on and on and on. So how many lives has Ted touched and how many will those affected go on and touch others. Layers upon layers to our children's children's children?
And he doesn't need to be there to know this and celebrate this with us, He has always understood this. For example, How many of us remember much at all about our grandparents, much less about our great grandparents and those before. We will be forgotten in 3 generations. But those he touched whether they know him or not will continue to be influenced by his heart and his work for so very long to come. It's indelible.

So a couple of closing/added thoughts:
The first is that the Butterfly Effect is alive and working in all of us. Ted was touched and affected by everyone of you
•A mother whose family roots came from the earliest settled areas of Central Kentucky to seek more for their children
•A father whose family fought their way out of the coal mining hills of Eastern Ohio for a better life
•A mother who instilled in us a care for all others by the way she selflessly cared for us, and then showed us the fortitude to do so; who set forth this force of 7 very independent children on the worldall who have done right and well and everyday tremendously give back to the world they live.
•Kathy, who touched Ted in a way no one else in this universe could---who as a young woman, a emergency room nurse here in Dayton at St. Elizabeth's,,, who became his wife and lover, his lifelong partner, teacher and student, confidant and more. Could Ted have been everything he was without being touched by someone so special as they shaped each others lives
•His siblingsTerry Tom Tony Tammy Theresa, and Tim. And our families, Jan, Steve and Debbie, Alexa-------His Godson Ryan; Halle and Madison, Cara, Andy, Alec and Caleigh
•He was touched by this wonderful extended family-Katy & Joe, June & Mac, Dick & June, Karen & Dan, Joe & Sue their spouses and significant others and families who have becomes such a part of this like Biil and Barb .
•Touched by his friends, colleagues, associates, teachers, students and more. There is never any interaction between two people where they are not both affected.

So Ted would ask you to remember that you all touched him.and therefore to remember that everything you do in this life matters. Every action you take and every decision you make, matters. That it mattered to him, it matters to me and it matters to everyone in this church and everyone beyond. There are generations yet unborn who will be touched by Ted and you. Everything you do and say truly matters

One belief I have is that you're not taken from this earth until the purpose you are here for is completed. So Ted would say that if you are still here, then you must have more to do; your purpose is not complete. Your life is unfinishedthere is more life to be lived, more laughter to be enjoyed, more children to be taught, more problems to be solved. More joy to be held. More love to be cherished. Everything you do matters; And you won't be taken until your purpose is complete. So, treasure this moment. Because as someone once told me, Life is not the number of breaths you take, but the number of moments that take your breath away

And then lastly, if Ted were here..and you know he is..he is here with Dad and Grandpa, June & Mac, Joe, and all of his special friends that have passed before him .Having a good laugh probably If he could speak he would say thank you so very much for sharing this journey with me..and I truly love each and every one of you so very very much.
Mom if you ever questioned god's purpose for you---I hope the gifts of your children have made your path clear.

Ted taught workshops at the Hollywood Metaphysical Chapel in Hollywood, Fl. I am just learning of his death and extend sympathies to his family. He was so kind, down-to-earth and taught effectively in a manner that respected all participants. When I was completing my Masters in social Work, I became ill for over a week and a paper was due for a no-excuse Professor. I used Ted's guided Angel Meditation and felt a angelic presence with me that night. The paper was completed on time and received an "A". What a blessing he was for the world. I am sure he was called home to work on the other side; still teaching and guiding us. Thank you Ted, your calm kindness nature was so healing.

A greater man to many of us than he was ever recognized for.

I wish you much deserved joy in the next life, my teacher. Your volumes of mythic and symbolic interpretation, Animal Speak and Animal Wise, were pioneering endeavors, and helped me understand impossible experiences in my youth. Thank you for spelling so much out for me, and giving me guidance in a new world.

So sorry to hear of his passing over. This amazing man was ahead of his time in both his knowledge and his wisdom. I had hoped to contact him with regards to his work on the Faerie Realm as I wanted to ask his permission to use his wonderful meditations to help others to access this beautiful Realm. I send Love and Peace to this great man, his wife and family - thank you for your precious words and life - you will always be in our Hearts. Love Lyn. xoxo

There are no words to express my sympathy for all the family, friends and fans of Ted Andrews.

I first discovered Mr. Andrews when his book,
"Animal Speak," came out. It was in a very
elegant "New Age" store on M street in Georgetown. I've always felt a kinship with
animals of all kinds, and this book was
exactly what I was searching for.

I have read and collected many of his other books as well. His writing, his keen insights, and knowledge are still inspiring to me.

We are so fortunate that he wrote so many books, and shared his wisdom so generously.

His words and his spirit live forever in the hearts of anyone who has known him as an author.

What a beautiful soul.

Thank you for the privilege of putting my thoughts here.

Warmest wishes,

Dianna Diatz

I am so glad I 'knew him'. Thank you, Ted, for your gifts.

I cannot put into words the influence Mr. Andrews had on my life through his writing.
He taught us that there is a whole other world "Out There" and he encouraged us to experience it for ourselves.
His teachings started me on a path that I still travel and enjoy to this day.
His deep and profound knowledge of the subjects that he wrote about, as well as his ability to make that knowledge accessible to all his readers, bespeaks of his professionalism.
More importantly, his love of nature, his love and commitment to animal rescue, and his love for those "On the Other Side" speaks volumes for his character and authenticity.
He will be greatly missed.

Many thanks to Tamara for keeping this guest book open until May 18, 2016. It seems that the timing, for me at least, was meant to be. My sincere gratitude Ted for your powerful teachings and contributions. To Kathy, family & friends closest to him, i offer my condolences and the hope that your lives are moving forward in strength. While working in a bookstore in Columbus that had a 'Ted Section', it became evident to me then that the tremendous amount of guidance he shared was immeasurable. Today one of my books authored by Ted 'fell' into my hands. I'll take it as a; 'it's time to review/study', and again, send my thanks. The work lives on, the love lives on. May continued blessings surround you all always.

Mr. Andrews-
When I did an internet search last month to see if you had written any books recently, or were planning a speaking engagement in my area I sadly learned of your transition. Animals Speak was the first of your books I bought and it has been a part of my book collection for longer than I can remember. It has impacted my life in many ways, and continues to do so, as do your other books that have also made their way into my book collection. Thank you for sharing your light, love, wisdom and truth with the world. It is a much better place because of you...and will continue to benefit from your presence in it for quite a long time to come.
Peace love and light to you always,

YOUR LIGHT WILL FOREVER SHINE BRIGHTLY UPON THE THOUSANDS+ OF LIVES YOU HAVE TOUCHED IN MIRACULAS WAYS ON EARTH; AS I AM SURE YOUVE ALSO BEEN A BLESSING TO THE ANGELS-THEMSELVES! MAY OUR BLESSED AND GLORIOUS MOTHER AND FATHER GOD HOLD YOU DEARLY IN THEIR ARMS. I was searching for a way to contact you and I was saddened to hear of your passing. I have most of your books and I began reading them so long ago that my first of your books pages have yellowed. I will always keep them in my library and I reread and refer to them often. You were one of the first authors I trusted intuitively (and always will) after I became disabled due to a truck/Bus accident where I was a passenger; and your books have helped me throughout this journey. I'm reading your book Qabala made simple now and I believe that you have been a true and living and loving example of your AWESOME works. You will live forever in our hearts and souls.

I am so sorry to hear of your passing, mr. Andrews! I thank you for your wonderful teachings and your wonderful books, of which I am a proud owner, especially of Animal Speak. I commend you on a life so well lived with compassion for all of creation and I know that this world is a bit darker without your Light. God bless you always!

July 31, 2014

Ted, I hope that you are finding wonderful adventures. I am so sorry that I just learned of your passing. When I could not find any new work in the bookstores, I finally did an internet search to see if there was any news. I was shocked to learn of your death. I have read so many of your books, and visited your lectures that somehow I felt that you would find a way to avoid death and live on always. Maybe that is what you have done, your work will last many lifetimes. I know that you will watch over Kathy and your beloved animal friends.

Mr. Andrews,
You are one of my most favorite new age authors. Your writings have been a great source of inspiration to me. I cannot believe it has been almost five years of your passing, and I just found out about it... I cannot believe you are no longer among us. I understand that God needed you; but, I think I would have liked to have seen more interviews with you. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I would have loved knowing you better. May God bless your soul and may you become an angel to all of us who were touched by your sweetness and gentleness in your writings. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience with me through your books. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting you in person, maybe someday, I will meet you in heaven.

Love and blessings to your soul,

"Ted Andrews (July 16, 1952 - October 24, 2009) was a bestselling author and teacher of shamanic, animistic and esoteric lore. He wrote over forty books which have been translated into more than two dozen foreign languages. He also produced several audio cassettes and CDs, and designed and produced two Tarot card decks.

He is the founder of DragonHawk Publishing...Andrews was certified in basic hypnosis through the New Life Center of Hypnotherapy in West Virginia, and basic acupressure through the Center for Chinese Medicine in California. He completed two years of formal study in "Herbs for Healthful Living" at the Herbal Emporium of Dayton, Ohio.

"Andrews was most noted for his mystical writings about animals. The best selling of his books on this topic, Animal Speak: The Spiritual & Magical Powers of Creatures Great and Small (1993), had sold nearly half a million copies by the time of his death, which was considered an unusual success for the metaphysical niche market. Animal Speak is considered a classic by such noteworthy New Age reviewers as Lauren D´Silva, and BellaOnline, the second largest women's site on the web. Wren, co-founder of The Witches' Voice (a prominent Neo-Pagan webzine), notes that "Everyone in the metaphysical genre knows his Animal Speak as the most comprehensive book on animal totems."

"Andrews served the Ohio public school system for ten years as a teacher and counselor, seven of which were spent working with disadvantaged students in a special needs program for which he received both local and state recognition. "As a long time volunteer at the Brukner Nature Center in Troy, Ohio, Andrews held state and federal permits to work with birds of prey. He regularly performed wildlife rescue, and wrote about wildlife rehabilitation. He championed animal rights and conducted animal education and storytelling programs accompanied by his own animals in school classrooms. He also wrote a number of children's books about animals and magic.

In May 2002 he was invited to speak to the United Nations Staff Recreation Council in New York City because of his writings and work with animals.

"Active in the holistic healing field, focusing strongly on esoteric forms of healing with sound, music, and voice, Andrews worked with past-life analysis. Andrews spoke and taught throughout the United States on subjects such as the healing arts, Magic and Kabbalah. Divinatory topics he wrote on include divination, fortune telling, aura interpretation, dreams, numerology, and tarot card reading. He was featured on national and local TV and radio programs.

"Andrews played the piano, Celtic harp, bamboo flute, shaman rattles, Tibetan bells, Tibetan singing bowls, and quartz crystal bowls, several of which he used as components of healing therapies. He also released a CD of his own musical compositions for piano and violin entitled Dance of the Unicorn.

"Andrews won more COVR Visionary Awards than any other author during the first thirteen years of the award's history. The Visionary Awards are given annually by the Coalition of Visionary Resources at the International New Age Trade Show, and are judged by retailers and other New Age professionals. Among his works receiving this award are: Secret Doors of the Qabala - Winner of Coalition of Visionary Resources (COVR) Book of the Year, General Interest Animal Inspiration Cards, Set 1 - tied for best General Gift category, 2008, COVR Animal Inspiration Cards, Set 2 - Finalist for best General Gift category, 2008, COVR Nature Speak - 2nd Runner up for Book of the Year in 2005 by the New Age trade group COVR The Animal Speak Workbook - tied for 2003 winner of Coalition of Visionary Resources Best Book of the Year - General Category, beating another of his books, which came in as runner up Spirits, Ghosts and Guardians - chosen 2nd runner up for Book of the Year - General Category,2003, by the Coalition of Visionary Resources. "Animal Speak has received particular notice: it is #6 in the Top 100 Spiritualism bestsellers on Tower.com, #1 in books on both Earth-Based Religions/Shamanism and Native American Studies on Amazon.com , and it has sold 500,000 copies since September of 1993.

"Andrews was born in Dayton, Ohio to Donald J. Andrews and Shirley Andrews. He was one of seven children, all of whom had first names that began with the letter "T." His four brothers were Terry, Tim, Tom, and Tony; his two sisters were Tamara and Theresa. They had pets Trixie, Tiger Tulip and Toby.

He died in Jackson, Tennessee; the cause of his death was cancer. His wife, Kathy Andrews, survives him." -

he will be greatly missed. i am sad to see such a profound soul depart. his numerous books helped me to understand and embrace the natural world God created, and guided me with knowledge and insight in my darkest hour. to be able to interpret the nature of animals when they appear in your life is a blessing and a tool God gave us to know. Today I began reminiscing about Ted who was a friend from many years ago when we met in Colorado Springs. We'd lost contact but today I found myself googling him to see what he might be up to. As I looked at photos of his familiar face my eyes lit upon word of his passing and my heart is heavy.
Tonight I shall pray for him and for his family and I send special condolances to his wife.
Kathy, I was widowed in 2006 and know the depths of such a loss. It's gut-wrenching and heart-breaking but it gets better. I had encouragement from a widow after my husband passed; when I couldn't imagine how I'd go on without him. She gave me comfort and hope which I now offer to you.
I want you to know that I am not just happy, but deeply happy again and you will be too. Bless you in your healing.

To his family and loved ones - I am just an avid reader of Ted's books, especially Animal Speak, which has been a blessing in my life. I felt a tremendous loss when I heard of his passing. I can't begin to imagine how you must feel. Please take solace in knowing that your lives are very special just in the fact that you knew him personally. He was truly a kind, peaceful soul and will be missed by many.

Ted was a very special soul and we have an empty space in this world now that can't be filled with another! Myself and our church members will truly miss him. He came to our small community and treated us as if we were the VIPs of the Universe! Bless him and you and your family in this time of loss. I can see him there in the happy heavenly forest with all of his beloved animal friends!

Kathy, I am deeply sorry for your loss. I met your husband when he gave a talk at Delphic Books in Warren, Ohio on 6-12-99. I have never looked at animals/nature in the same way. I am truly grateful for having had that moment and I sincerely believe that his messages will live on. May peace be with you and your family. Peggy Parkinson, Mantua, Ohio.

My condolences to you Kathy, Ted was an inspiring teacher. I attended many of his workshops in Florida, and I consider him to be the most influential teacher I had. His message to me during one of those workshops was, "never charge for the work you do." At the time I, did not know the reason, but 15 years later, the blessings I have received rather than payment, have been the most profound rewards imaginable.

My young son attended one of the classes with me, and his connection to nature was firmly established through Ted's lesson on dolphins.

The sacrifices to be in his league were turned into opportunities to benefit humanity, and I will always honor his gift of knowing each person's path, and nudging them on to it.

So sorry to hear of the loss of such a wonderful story teller and writer. His works will live on for years to come; and his memory will carry those that were blessed enough to meet him, know him, and love him.

He will be missed but not forgotten. Many blessings to his family and friends. Know that he is watching over you and will be there to give you a sign just like the great hawk, and other birds he helped to rescue.

Kathy, The Church of Spiritual Unity wishes to express their condolences to you and your family. Ted was my student, came to Columbus once a week, and earned his mediumship papers. I was very proud of him like all of us were. He was a good and honest person. He was a wonderful and powerful influence in the world. If you need anything, please call.

Animal speak, I have always been close to animals and thier souls. Nature speak, seeing signs in nature another wonderful book. How would I be without Ted, not this polished, still rough. I would have enjoyed meeting this marvelous interesting man. Dear family, so sorry for your loss. Ted, I hope your with the all of the angels and at a wonderful place. Now, it's our job as those still here to keep that kind of Spirit burning brightly within ourselves. That too will be a Tribute to the messages he brought. Namaste

We were all shocked to hear of Ted's passing. No one knew he had even been sick. My mom, Katie, took it especially hard. She always had a special fondness for Ted. It could be that he was the fastest in bringing her a beer, but I believe it was more than that.
Ted always sent her his latest book, and because of that, I was able to read them also.
Ted was always special to Jake and Kelsey, too. They both remember when Ted invited them down to his farm in Tennessee. They were only about 8 and 10, but neither of them ever forgot the invitation. We never made it down (and maybe Ted was counting on that!!!) but Ted made my children feel very special, and for that I'll always be grateful.
Ted will be missed. He can still be at all the family parties, though. Somone has his lifesize cutout!
Rest in peace, Ted, and keep your eye on the rest of us here.

His knowledge and guidence has helped me for many years. His tarot deck is my personal favorite. I hope you can find some solace in the fact that he touched so many hearts and made us more sensitive and attuned to animals.

Dear Kathy, Shirley and all the family,

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Ted's passing.  I am truly sorry for your loss.  Although I had not seen or spoken to him for years, it still hurts.  I last saw Ted at Debbie's funeral and we had the opportunity to talk for awhile.  Since then, I have read several of his books.  He certainly possessed that amazing Andrews family trait:  the ability to touch people in ways which will never be forgotten.

My late mother (Janet Hammond)loved Shirley, Andy and all their kids, but she was particularly fond of Ted.  I believe she recognized his talent at an early age and was proud of his success.  She also read Ted's books and treasured the one he personally gave to her.

My sister, brother and I send our heartfelt condolences to you all.  We offer prayers on your behalf during these difficult days.

Love,

Kris

Ted Andrews! No, I didn't know Ted very well. I met him once or twice was I was a baby but that was pretty much it. I know he meant a lot to my Mum and her Mum (Nana, as I call her). I felt mostly upset for them when I heard that he had passed. For it was a big loss to them and also all of my uncles, aunts and other family members.
I had read a lot of Teds book and used his Oracle cards. They always were so accurate, it was unbelievable. I wish I had known Ted better becuase he was a great man, he'll definatly be missed. He will be back though, in another life and I'm sure every one who loved him will see him again.

I remember my Mum telling me this story, it was amazing, I couldn't beleive it when she told me. She said when she and her brothers were kids, around 12 or so, they would go back into the woods and play hide and seek for hours on end. One day when they went out to play, it was Teds turn to hide but he couldn't find any where to go. He was standing in front of a tree when he heard a voice, a whisper "Just step back Ted, just step back". Ted stepped back slowly into the tree. Some how he had come part of the tree, camoflauged inside! His brothers and friends walked righht passed him hundreds of times and didn't see him once! Ted hid there every time he played hide and seek. Eventually, no one played with him any more because they could NEVER find him! Ted was so so so lucky, I have always thought that story was beautiful, I still to this day ask my Mum to tell it to me.

From your Neice, Caleigh!

I am unsure where all the years went, and how in an instant the seven T's became only six.

Ted was special, being two years his junior he and his friends would go from locking me in my locker at high school, to letting me hang with them on weekends making me feel cool and older.

Although we did not see each other often, I took my son Nick to Ted's presentation recently. It was strange seeing him public speak using the same hand gestures and movements and speech patterns that I use daily. The nuts don't fall very far from our tree.
Nick thought that was funny.

The person at the door advised that it was $20.00 per person to see Ted speak. As I was laughing at the thought of that, Ted noticed us and I asked to borrow $40.00 to see him. He got us in free of course and I advised him it was well worth the price of admission. We had quite the laugh.

Ted, rest in Gods presence. Kathy, Carrie and I know the pain and loss you are going through. God's speed and hand on your very heavy heart through this. You are in our prayers and in our hearts.

Oh. Ted, pull some strings in heaven to get me in free there also. I REALLY need help with that.

The middle child,
Tom

Ted was a blessing to so many people. I guess we can all find comfort in knowing that he touched so many different people in so many different ways.

As Ted's Cousin my memories are of our childhood. I was a babysitter for many of the Adrews boys. I remember Christmas day at their house, all the many presents under the tree, and the wonderful food that his Mother Shirley had prepared. I remember going to high school graduations, and I also remember the difficulties when each child turned 16 and wanted to learn to drive. I amagine their parents were terrified!!!!!!!

Ted dying has shocked many of us and made us aware of our own mortality.
I hope for peace for Shirley and Ted's wife Kathy.

I want to leave my last thoughts as such:

THE JOURNEY HOME

DON'T WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING
FOR DON'T YOU KNOW IT'S TRUE
A LOVING GOD HAS LAUNCHED THE SHIP
THAT GENTLY CARRIES YOU

EACH BOAT THAT SAILS THE SEA OF LIFE
THAT ROCKS WITH EVERY STORM
IS GUIDED THROUGH THE STRAITS OF FAITH
TO A HARBOR SAFE AND WARM

THE HAND THAT KNIT YOU IN THE WOMB
WILL NEVER CEASE TO CARE
A BALLAST IN THE WIWLDEST WIND
A LOVE THAT'S ALWAYS THERE

FOR NO ONE LIVES BUT BY HIS GRACE
AND GIVEN IS EACH BREATH
WELL KNOWN THE TIME OF EVERY BIRTH
THE HOUR OF EVERY DEATH

AND EACH MAN HEARS A SPLECIAL CALL
THAT BECONS HIM ALONE
WHILE GOD PROVIDES ALING THE WAY
THE STARS THAT GUIDE HIM HOME

My sincere condolences to Ted's family and beloved friends. I attended a talk he gave at Crazy Wisdom Bookstore and Tea Room in Ann Arbor, MI several years ago. He led us in the meditation to meet our animal totem, an event I have never forgotten. His Animal Wise Tarot is one of my favorite decks. His books are constant companions. My blessings on his journey and with those remaining here.

The news of Ted's death stunned me aned my husband, Scott, so much that it just hurt. He was our friend, our colleage, and a wonderful teacher through his books and lectures. Ted's character and ethics was high above so many teachers around today. He will be sorely missed for his knowledge, his character, his teachings, and his contribution to our understanding of the animal and plant kingdoms of life. I send his family love and the comfort embodied within the Light devoted his life to.

With love and respect;

Ted was my brother, and I loved him. Wouldn't you know, he sent me a birthday card every year? For as long as I can remember! I always knew it was from Ted by his beautiful writing.

Ted was many things to many people, but to me he was just a brother that always had a smile. Ted helped me in school when I needed it and answered my questions about healing when I wasn't sure what to do. He also sent me all of his books and even sent some to me to share with my friends!

I will most remember Ted for sharing the most important day of my life with me. He walked me down the aisle at my wedding. Ted never liked having his picture taken, but there was no way he could get out of it that day! The family eventually blew up his picture to lifesize and had it put on cardboard.

From there on, Ted would always attend all the family events. Or at least the life size cut out of him did! His loving brothers put Ted's cutout in all sorts of hilarious (and of course , unconventional), pictures. What's family if you can't make fun of and laugh at each other?!!

I'll miss you Ted, but I am sure your lifesize cut out will still be at all the family events! And of course, we'll talk about you, just as we always did!!

I'll also miss the many seminars of yours I attended and all of your books. Take care Ted, and keep an eye out for me. I love you!

I met Ted back in Cleveland, Ohio in 1993. He gave me a personal reading at Journeys Bookstore and told me that he would no longer be giving readings after that. I took two workshops with him. I feel very privileged to have met him. I have felt that he has always been an admirable man and spiritual humanitarian that I have so admired and always spoke highly of him. I will miss him and his presence on the planet yet ,we all know he can do more from the otherside to guide and help orchestrate help for the animals. God bless him and his family in this time during their major shift.

In this life there are many that search to find their way on their path. Ted's work and gifts were a great part of helping many to find their true path. He connected us with so much in our natural environment that helped us nurtured our own light within. He was a true guide or guardian in a time when change is so prevelant and needed.
Ted, May your next journey be blessed with peace, joy, harmony, abundance, love and light....may the sun always shine on your path and always feel the warm of the sun

A true renaissance man, Ted gave so much to the world in his efforts to bring understanding of the natural world. I once stated that in all of his writing, he was in the process of writing one "book" which was comprised of many volumes. Whatever our belief system, we are all made richer by the many activities in which he participated. He inspired many to greater than they had before believed themselves capable. He had an infectious "sense of wonder" which he shared with the world as well as a great love for all of creation, rhe realand the tuly real whichis called imaginary. Blessings on your wonderful soul, Ted. AS you move on through the spiritual realms, may your legacy be for a great blessing to all those who love you.

I was fortunate to meet Ted in Jacksonville and attend one of his classes and listen to his storytelling the previous night. Such wonderful, masterful storytelling and then a fantastic teacher the next day. I felt so blessed to have seen the notice on the board in the bookshop that day, what an experience and opportunity I would have missed. I left with great respect for the man and a new appreciation for the world we share. My prayers and condolences to his family and friends and my thanks for sharing him with all of us.
