News Death Notice
McCARTHY, Thomas Michael age 61 of Clayton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 29, 2014. Tom was a graduate of Chaminade High School class of 1971 and attended Precious Blood Catholic Church. He went to the Kleptz YMCA in Englewood daily and was an avid Notre Dame fan. He is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law: Sharon and Harold Byrnes of GA, Colleen and Lou Cano of Englewood, nephews: Brandon Byrnes, Vince (Michelle) Cano, niece: Kelsey Cano, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Dr. Thomas and Mary (Dickey) McCarthy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 8, 2014 at the Precious Blood Catholic Church (4961 Salem Ave.) with Fr. James Seibert, C.P.P.S. as celebrant. Interment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery in Dayton. The family will receive friends on Monday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at the church. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Kleptz YMCA. The Kindred Funeral Home, Englewood is handling arrangements.
