News Death Notice

LAFFEY, Timothy John "Tim" age 56 passed away April 2, 2011 in San Luis Obispo, CA of complications from a stroke. Tim was preceded in death by his father Jerry Laffey (1996), his nephew Jacob Vagedes (2000), niece Lindsay Schlemmer (2002), his paternal and maternal grandparents, an aunt and several uncles. Tim is survived by his daughter Megan Laffey, Dayton OH, his mother Earlyne Laffey, Dayton OH, brothers and sisters Jim (Debbie) Waynesville OH, Kathy (Don Miller), Dayton, OH, Laureen Laffey, Dayton OH, Mike (Laurie), Berrien Springs, MI, Eileen Vagedes, Dayton OH, Mary (Dan Beemsterboer) Beavercreek OH, several nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and extended family members and friends. Tim was a free spirit who loved life and all it had to offer, he never met a stranger. The family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to Wendy at Reis Family Mortuary, the staff at Mission View Nursing Home, Frenchs Hospital, all of San Luis Obispo, CA, and Tobias Funeral Home for the care and support they provided to Tim and his family. Private services. Tims memory would best be served by making donations to your local homeless organization.
