Carter Dale Cose

July 9, 1936 - March 13, 2025

Carter Dale Cose, son of Ruby Riggleman and Clyde Cose, was born on July 9, 1936. He passed away on Thursday, March 13th, 2025 at the age of 88 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Carter was born in Denison, Iowa and raised in Deloit, Iowa. He graduated from Deloit High School in 1955 and served in the United States Army and the Army Reserves from 1955-1963.

In 1961, Carter married Gail Eileen Benton on July 17 at midnight at the Presbyterian Church in Denison. They made their home in Denison where they were blessed with two daughters, Carla Dee and Jodie Cae.

While living in Denison, Carter worked for Iowa Beef Processors and Builder's Lumber and Supply. In 1975, Carter and his wife began their business careers by purchasing The Park Motel, and in 1983, co-purchasing the Classic Touch, Ladies Fashion Store. Carter was an active member at the United Presbyterian Church in Denison and was a Freemason at the Sylvan Lodge.

In 1985, Carter and Gail moved to Tucson, Arizona where they enjoyed living near the Saguaro National Park. They loved to drive to work everyday and take in the beautiful sights of the Sonoran Desert. Carter worked as Maintenance Engineer at the Prince of Tucson RV Park. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and his dogs. Carter especially liked to go bowling and eating out with his friends, the ROMEOS (Retired Old Men Eating Out).

He is preceded in his death by his wife Gail, and brothers Darrell and Darwin. Those survivors left to cherish his memory include two daughters Carla Cose-Giallella and husband Anthony of Phoenix, Arizona and Jodie Cae Cose-Walter and husband Jeffery of Las Vegas, Nevada; his sister-in-laws Ardis Klink and her husband Gene of Tucson Arizona, Jean Trausch and husband Ray of Carroll, Iowa; eight nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.
