Conway

Mrs. Charlotte May Conway, age 75, of Newark, DE, died on Saturday, June 12, 2010, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Conway was born in Chester, PA on October 17, 1934, daughter of the late Edna (Hudson) and Cosmos Day. A talented homemaker and excellent cook, she delighted in caring for and spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. In her leisure hours, she enjoyed watching favorite television programs.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Horace "Joe" Conway; son, Brian Conway of Middletown, DE; daughter, Charmaine Owens of Newark, DE; brother, Raymond A. Day of Chester, PA; and grandchildren, Arlee M. and Cavan A.

The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff of Odyssey Hospice for their many kindnesses to Mrs. Conway during this difficult time.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am, on Wednesday, June 16, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where visitation will begin at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of Delaware, 1021 Gilpin Avenue, Wilmington, DE 19806.
