Christopher Mullikin Obituary
AGE: 29 • Newark
Christopher A. Melendez Mullikin, age 29, of Newark, DE, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015. Chris earned his GED from New Castle Learning Center in 2003. He then proudly served his country in the US Army Infantry. Chris was a former line cook with Seasons Pizza and Bob Evans Restaurant. He enjoyed working out at the YMCA, playing computer games, and cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers who had been his favorite team since childhood. Chris had a passion for reptiles, especially snakes. He especially loved his mom whom he considered his best friend and had a special bond with his mom mom.
Chris is survived by his mother, Stephanie Treml McClain; 2 sisters, Amanda Melendez and Kayla McClain; grandparents, Edward and Betty Treml; mom mom, Jean Abbott; 2 aunts, Denise Treml and Tracy Truban (David); uncle, Lawrence Mullikin III; 5 cousins: McKenna Mullikin, Madison and Jeremy Polish, and Andrew and Avery Truban. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Mullikin; and lifelong childhood best friend, Brandon Schuck.
A visitation will be held Friday, May 1, 2015 from 2-3 PM in the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd., Newark, DE 19702 followed by a service in celebration of Chris's life at 3 PM. Burial will be private. For directions or to send an online condolence visit www.strano-feeley.com
