Curtis Baldwin Obituary

Curtis E. Baldwin

Wilmington - Curtis E. Baldwin, age 54, of Wilmington, DE died Wednesday, October 24, 2018 with his family by his side.

Curt was born in West Virginia, the son of the late Owen Baldwin, Sr. and Dorothy Richardson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Baldwin and sisters, Kathy Seehafer and Diane Lockley.

Curt was a career firefighter and EMT with New Castle County at Minquadale Fire Co. and a life member of Aetna HH&L Co. of Newark, Delaware. He was an instructor at the Delaware State Fire School and was owner and operator of Advanced CPR & First Aid Training.

Curt is survived by his wife Julie; her parents, Bob and Della Rickards; brother-in-law, Scott Rickards. Curt is also survived by his brother, Owen Baldwin, Jr. and two sisters Karen Dozier (Russell) and Tammy Legates (Bill). Additionally, he will be missed by his extended family as well as numerous close friends, and his English Bulldogs, Rocco, Brynn, and Bella.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 3 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 1314 Foulk Rd., Wilmington, DE 19803 from 10 am to 12 noon. A memorial service will be held promptly at 12 noon. Overflow parking will be available at Brandywine High School. Burial will take place privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Curt's name to New Castle County Uniformed Firefighters Local 4417, PO Box 308, New Castle, DE 19720 or SPCA, 600 South St., New Castle, DE 19720.

Curtis was great man always willing to take care of other people when the ambulance came to my house to pick me up he was always there to take care of me as I ride in the back of the ambulance to get to the hospital I remember what he told me I hope u feel better and what's wrong come on u going to the hospital I am surely going to miss u buddy and my prayer goes out to the family and his wife
