Earl Roth Obituary
AGE: 87 • Whitehall, PA
Earl H. Roth, 87, of Whitehall, died Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Fellowship Manor. He was the husband of Jean O. (Leiser) Roth. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Earl H. and Florence (Haas) Roth. He was pressman for the Morning Call and the News Journal in Wilmington, DE before retiring in 1989. He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Egypt. Earl was member of Lehigh Valley Folk Music Society, Whitehall Historical Preservation Society, Brandywine Dulcimer Fellowship, Chadd's Ford Historical Society and the Wilmington, DE Ostomy Association. Earl served in the Merchant Marines during WWII.
Survivors; wife; son, James W. and his wife Linda of Manheim; daughter, Patricia S. Roth of Denver, CO; brothers, Thomas A. of Whitehall; two grandchildren, Patrick and Erik. A sister, Jeanne E. Wetherhold predeceased him.
Service of Christian Memory will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Zentz Community Center at Fellowship Community, 3000 Fellowship Drive, Whitehall. A calling period will begin at 10:00 a.m. TREXLER FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Earl's memory may be made to WDOA c/o R. Williams, 3211 Carillon Dr., Wilmington, DE 19808.
