I can not believe it will be 5 years in a few days - 6 for my Mom on May 18th. We lost Dad on Feb 25th so life is feeling very empty. I know how much Dad treasured their friendship and she meant so much to me when I really needed someone to give me a kiss and tell me she loved me - thank you for sharing your Mother with so many of us and know she is missed

I think of Betty often - Foulk South is just not the same without her - I still remember the last hug and kiss when I told her goodbye thinking I would see her in a few days. On May 18th I will remember two incredible strong women - my Mother and Betty.

I am so sorry for your loss. My daughter and I would visit Betty and our other friends at Foulk Manor South with PAWS and our therapy dog Shadow. Betty was such a ray of sunshine...she told us that she loved us and she could see our hearts. I always looked forward to seeing her smiling face and listening to her quick wit! She made me laugh out loud so many times. I know she will be so missed by the residents and the staff. God Bless. We will keep your family in our thoughts… Love, Christina, Marie and Shadow

I am so sad to hear of Betty's passing. She was an amazing woman and was an inspiration to me as a young mother and wife. We had many long talks and walks. I will never forget the time we bought meat off of the meat truck and the pork chops exploded in our freezers. She taught me a lot about life and most importantly how to give a "real hug"! It's been many years since I last saw her, but she has never been far from my heart and thoughts.
Peace and blessings to all of her family. She loved you all so very much.

We are so sad to hear of the passing of Betty. We were neighbors of Betty from South Graylyn Crest. She was always so caring of everyone, loved sharing stories and enjoyed long walks especially with her cats. Betty will be greatly missed but memories will never be forgotten. Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

Betty was a lot of things to a lot of people, but to us she was part of the family ours as well as hers. The love we had will never leave us, and Dans pony tail will never be tugged again like Betty tugged it. We will miss her greatly. Love Danny and Luann

After Losing my Mom on May 18th, 2013 Betty was my comfort - her smile and the hugs and kisses helped me get through the pain of losing my Mother and visiting her became the highlight of my day - I will always cherish the last hug and kiss from her - and I am so grateful I always told her I loved her each time we were together so I hope she knew how much she meant to me. We will always love your mom for how special she made everyone feel. We never had a conversation with her that didn't end in I love you and you have a place in my heart. Sometimes we would come home from work and find that message on our answering machine. She was a loving and very special funny person. We will miss her . Love Armonde and Tony

I am heartbroken as I read that Betty has passed - I met her at Foulk South when my mother became terminally ill and every night she greeted me with a hug and a kiss and her love got me through the lowest time of my life - over the last year seeing her has been my joy as i visited my father - but I also had to spend time visiting with her - she loved my Dad Floyd Jury and he always gave her a thumbs up which she loved - she had a huge heart and I am so glad I got to be a part of her life. I visited her at Shipley Manor (though i wish I had gone more often - I actually went today not knowing she was gone) I will miss her - but I am so thankful for the last time I saw her at Shipley and hearing her say she loved me one more time. Heaven has gained an angel - exactly one year to the day my Mother passed..
