Gennaro IACONO Obituary

Gennaro M. "Jerry" Iacono Age 70 died Monday, March 22, 2004 in Riddle Memorial Hospital, Middletown Twp., PA. He was a resident of Aston, PA since 1979, formerly of Chester, PA from 1960-1979 and was born on the island of Ischia in Italy (L'Isola D'Ischia). He was co-owner of Vesuvio's Restaurant in Chester, PA since 1972 and owner and operator of Vesuvio's Motel in Lewes, DE since 1977. He loved cooking, fishing, traveling, being by the ocean, life and his family. He served in the Italian Navy and worked doing various jobs on the Italian passenger cruise ship. He loved listening to and singing Italian opera music. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret S. (DeLorenzo) Iacono who passed away on July 28, 2003; son, Joseph Maysky, who passed in 1981; and his father and mother, Saverio and Anna Iacono. He is survived by his daughter, Anna Maria Port of Wilmington, DE; sons, Eugene B. Maysky of Trainer, PA, Ralph V. Maysky of Bethel Twp., PA, Louis Maysky of Upland, PA and John A. Iacono of Lewes, DE; sister, Maria Iacono of Italy; 10 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. Calling will be after 7 pm Sunday, March 28 and after 8 am Monday, March 29 at KANIEFSKI KENDUS D'ANJOLELL MEMORIAL HOME, 3900 West Ninth Street, Trainer, PA. A funeral mass will be held on Monday at 9:30 am at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 21 West 8th Street, Marcus Hook, PA 19061. Entombment will be in Lawn Croft, Garden of Peace Mausoleum, Linwood, PA. Donations may be made to Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, to the above address.
