Harold R. "Bob" Mutter

AGE: 82 • Wilmington

Bob went to be with the Lord, on Monday, December 28, 2015.

Bob was a truck driver for 40 years and drove 8 years as a Charter Bus Driver. He liked playing and making WWII music tapes for his senior passengers. Bob was a Navy veteran in submarine service during the Korean War; a Shriner at Nur Temple where he was in the motor corp; one of the first members of the 3 Wheelers where he won his first competition and a member of Unity Lodge #32 in Newport. Bob really enjoyed riding his motorcycle, collecting Hess trucks and small Ford cars.

Bob was kindhearted and most considerate man, helping anyone he could along his way. His children were always on his mind and in his heart, he will be truly missed and loved forever.

Bob was preceded in death by his son, Francis B. in 1993; a daughter, Connie Mutter in 2006; and parents, Garnett and Maude Mutter. Survivors include, his wife Linda J. Mutter; sons, Gary L., Bruce A. and Richard M; stepson, Bobby Ray Parkerson, Jr. and stepdaughter, Chrissy Nicholson; brother, Don Mutter; grandchildren and greatGrandchildren.

Masonic services followed by Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 2nd at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St., Newport where visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle.

Family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association, 200 Continental Dr. Suite 101, Newark, DE 19713.

On behalf of the Charleston Base SUBVETS and Swamp Fox Chapter SUBVETS WWII, I offer you our sincere condolences on Bob's passing. We grieve with you on the loss of your loved one and all SUBVETS and their families have your family in our thoughts and prayers. There is no expiration date on the back of our dolphins and Bob will always be remembered as a Brother of the Phin and a great Patriot.
