Harry Donoghue Obituary

Harry F. Donoghue Sr.

Of Dover, DE, died Sunday June 5, 2011, at Kent General Hospital. He was 85.

Mr. Donoghue was born December 31, 1925 in Wilmington, DE to the late Harry L. and Ida R. Donoghue. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. Mr. Donoghue was a HVAC mechanic for various companies. He enjoyed woodworking. Mr. Donoghue was a member of The Masonic Lodge.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Davine B. Weber Donoghue 2008. He is survived by his sons, Harry F. Donoghue Jr. of Smyrna, DE, David-Michael Alexander of Camden, DE; his daughter, Carrie L. Fisher and her husband Mike of Ferrum, VA.; his sister, Mildred E. Rogers of Middletown, DE; grandchildren, Jonathan and Joanna Turner; nieces, Joyce Van Stan of Newark, DE and Raetta McCall of Middletown, DE and lifelong friends Jim and Sharon Dudley of Middletown, DE.

Graveside services will be held 10 am, Thursday, June 9, at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to The Modern Maturity Center, Dover, 1121 Forest Avenue, Dover, DE 19904.
