Age 72, of Claymont, DE, passed away at home on Friday, the 6th of October 2006. His loving family was by his side.
Born in New York, May 23, 1934, Jim grew up in Shamokin, PA. He served his country as a pilot in the United States Army for 30 years, several of which were in Germany. His military career included 2 tours in Vietnam. He retired from the military in 1984. From 1985 until 1995 he worked for the Boeing Company. His humility and quiet spirit will be missed greatly by family and his many friends.
He is survived by 3 sons, James, Jr. and his wife, Carol, Bryant and his wife, Pauline, and David and his wife, Debbie. Survivors also include 4 grandchildren, Tiffanny, Rebecca, Emily and Brian.
A service will be held on Monday, October 9, 2006, at 8 pm at the MCCRERY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 3924 Concord Pike, Talleyville, where friends may call from 6 pm until service time. The Rev. Dr. Gayle Ryle officiating. Burial will be private in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
