John Klase Obituary
Magnolia - John R. Klase, Sr., 66, of Magnolia passed away on April 7, 2021.
Mr. Klase was a heavy equipment operator for New Castle County, retiring after over 50 years of service. He was a 1974 graduate of William Penn High School. He was also an owner/operator of CAR Trucking in Camden. Mr. Klase enjoyed hunting, fishing and doing gardening and yardwork.
Mr. Klase is survived by three children: John R. Klase, Jr. and his wife Adrienne of Harbeson, Amanda Arms and her fiance James of Magnolia and Jessica C. Klase of Wilmington; three brothers: Edward Quinn and his wife Jodie of Middletown, Robert Quinn and his wife Kathy of Lewes and Jimi Quinn of California; one sister, Virginia Arms of Felton; and six grandchildren.
Mr. Klase was preceded in death by his parents, Edith and Alvin Klase; his brother Freddie, his sister Dot, his sister Judith, his brother Gene, his cousin Budd Klase and his grandson Douglas.
A memorial service will be 3:00 P.M. Friday, April 16, 2021 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where friends may visit with the family from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Friday. COVID-19 protocol will be in effect. No more than 50 persons in the funeral home at once. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses. I knew John when he was seventeen years old. He was my first love. We dated for a quite a while. He had a great sense of humor. I was so very sorry to hear of his passing. May god bless your family.
