Joseph DeNest Obituary
AGE: 82 •
Age 82, passed away on March 18, 2016. Joseph had been a union carpenter, working for the EDiS Company for over 40 years. He was a longtime member of St. Helena Church where he served as usher. An accomplished athlete, Joseph had been an impressive semi-pro baseball pitcher as well as an esteemed bowler, having bowled a perfect game of 300.
Joseph is survived by his sister-in-law, Theresa Amoroso; brother-in-law, Stanley R. Reese; friend, Bob Smith and his son Bobby Smith, DPM, FACFAS; friends, Mike and Donna Donato; friend, Joe Kaminski; and numerous additional dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Helena Church, 602 Philadelphia Pike in Wilmington, on Tuesday morning, March 22 at 10:30am. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery in Kennett Square, PA. Visitation will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Helena Church, 602 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE 19809.

My condolences to the family of Joe Denest.Joe you taught me to fly some 25 years ago.Its been a long time since but I often thought and think of you.You will be missed by all that were fortunate to know you.Just like you told me the day I crashed my super chipmunk (all good things must come to an end you told me)You were a good man Joe! To say I'll miss him will be such an under statement.
I'll miss his constant nagging to me about my smoking and concern for me and my family especially my son, and mostly our daily 10 PM conversations. I think we may have missed 3 or 4 times on the phone in maybe 4 to 5 years. I'll miss our daily friendship and love for each other
