Karen Margaret Trader, 85, of Wilmington, went to be with the Lord on November 15, 2015, at the Regal Heights Care Center in Hockessin.

Karen was born on August 24, 1930, in Sønderborg, Denmark. She came to the United States when she was 18 years old. She worked at Emily Bissel Hospital for many years and was also an in-home caregiver. Karen's love for her children, and especially her grandchildren, was very special. She was very active in their lives. Karen's love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was the most important thing in her life. She loved to read His word and sing songs of worship and praise.

Karen was predeceased by her husband, James Trader with whom she was married for 54 years. She is survived by her children, Lynda K. Fuller and her husband Edward T. Fuller III of Wilmington, and Steven J. Trader and his wife Barbara of Hockessin, as well as her son Mark Trader of Wilmington, her grandchildren, Edward T. Fuller, IV, Stephanie M. Trader, James M. Fuller and Hannah L. Trader. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 19, at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington at 11:00 am where friends may call after 9:30 am. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle.
