Karl W. Pfeil, Jr.

AGE: 73 • New Castle

Karl W. Pfeil, Jr., age 73, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2015. Born in Coaldale, PA, he was the son of the late Karl W. and Evelyn (Eva) Pfeil. Karl served his country in the US Army and retired from General Motors after 33 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Terrace Athletic Club and Howard Weston Senior Center where he enjoyed playing shuffleboard and shooting darts. Karl's home away from home was the Howard Weston Senior Center where he met many dear friends with whom he participated in fun events and trips. He was also on the Advisory Council and very dedicated to fund raising projects. Most of all Karl cherished the time spent with his grandchildren whom he loved with all his heart. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Karl is survived by his wife of 50 years, Camilla Pfeil; 2 sons, Kenny J. Pfeil (Ruth) and Karl W. Pfeil; 4 grandchildren: Tyler, Benjamin, Addison, and Christina; 1 great grandchild, Trinity; 2 brothers, Raymond and Robert; 1 sister, Linda Jean Nicholls; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Pappas.

A visitation will be held Monday, April 6, 2015 from 5:30-8:00 PM and again on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 10:00-11:00 AM in the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark, DE 19702 followed by a service in celebration of Karl's life at 11 AM. Entombment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Howard Weston Senior Center, 1 Bassett Avenue, New Castle, DE 19720. Our thoughts and prays are with you Camilla, and your extended family. I want to let you all know,that Mr. Karl was my Mother's best friend, she enjoyed playing cards, casino trips, but most of all he was her chauffeur. He was always making sure she got to her destination. My mom Alice was so excited the other day when Karl and his wife showed up at there hair dresser Ms. Wanda.Thank you for letting her know they were on their way . Karl my mom Alice will miss you very much and I Cyndi her daughter want to thank you for everything you have done she says have the card table ready. With all our prayers you will be missed.
