Kevin Bentley Obituary
AGE: 48 • Bear
Kevin S. Bentley, age 48, of Bear, DE, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 19, 2014 surrounded by his family and friends after a long battle with MS. Kevin was also supported by his Freedom Bikers Church family (formerly Iron Hill Community Church) who came in shifts to help in many ways. Kevin attended Elkton Christian School and then graduated as valedictorian from Temple Christian School. He earned an Associates Degree from Liberty University. Kevin loved learning new things and expanded his knowledge through reading and discussions on Facebook. He was an avid sports fan. Kevin played multiple sports in high school and loved cheering on the Ravens and Phillies. Kevin was devoted first of all to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He found comfort in reading the Scriptures. Kevin cherished his family, especially his daughter and grandson.
Kevin is survived by his parents, John and Agnes Bentley; daughter, Lauren Bentley Truman (Michael); and grandson, Tyler Mason Friedly.
A visitation will be held Sunday, November 23, 2014 from 6-8 PM in the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd., Newark, DE 19702 and again on Monday, November 24, 2014 from 10-11 AM in the Fairwinds Baptist Church, 801 Seymour Rd., Bear, DE 19701 followed by a service in celebration of Kevin's life at 11 AM.
