Picard

Age 74, of Middletown, DE passed away at home on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006.

Marlene was born in New Roads, LA. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Picard; a son, Robert Mark Picard, and granddaughter, Katherine Lavere, and a great-grandson, Jacob Picard. Surviving Mrs. Picard is her son, Jeffery Picard, Sr. and his wife, Debra of Newark; daughters, Theresa Picard, Stephanie Kennedy, and Mary Picard, all of Middletown; 7 grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter, Hannah. Marlene is also survived by her sister, Garnet Schexnayder of Louisiana.

Marlene's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff at Delaware Hospice.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 2nd, at 2 pm at the Chapel at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Chesapeake City Rd, in Bear. Friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wed., March 1st, evening from 7-9 pm at the DANIELS & HUTCHISON Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad Street, Midleetown.
