Michael Barr Obituary
Wilmington, DE
February 16, 1954-April 3, 2016. Michael J. Barr, age 62, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, April 3, 2016 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Michael attended Upper Darby High School, graduating in 1973. He was a devoted family man that put his family first and was always there for them. Before he became ill he was the proprietor of Mike and Joyce Distributors. Michael enjoyed volleyball and was an avid Eagles fan.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce H. Barr; his daughter, Brittany Conant (Alex), his step sons, Randall D. Green, Rick D. Green and Ryan D. Green (Zé); his brother, Jack Barr (Ellen), his sister, Marie (Bitsy) Leonetti (Vince) and a host of nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, April 9 at 1 pm at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek followed by a memorial service at 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Michael J. Barr to the Fox Chase Cancer Center for melanoma research, I. A. Dept., 333 Cottman Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19111.
