Nicholas Johansen

AGE: 35 • Wilmington

Nicholas Johansen, age 35, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Arlington, VA passed away on March 2, 2015 at his home.

He graduated from Immaculate Heart of Mary School, Archmere Academy Class of 97, and The George Washington University Class of 2001 where he received his BA in Theater Arts.

Nicholas was a set and lighting designer. He worked on such venues as the Kennedy Center, Ford's Theater and the Presidential debates.

Nicholas was an avid Washington Nationals fan. He enjoyed camping, biking, music and films.

He is predeceased by his father Arthur, grandparents and uncle.

Nicholas is survived by his mother Patricia; brother Christopher; sister-in-law Kristin, niece and nephew, Olivia and Peter; brother Darren; and nephews, Darren Jr. and Liberty.

A Celebration of Nicholas' life will be held on Monday March 9, 2015 at 3:00 pm at the CHANDLER FUNERAL HOME, 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803, where friends and family may visit starting at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Nicholas' honor to the Delaware Humane Association, 701 A Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.
