Pete, Vicki, Steve, and families....you know how we loved our uncle, godfather, and koumbaro. Michael was planning to visit him the weekend that he passed, but it was not to be. There are so many childhood memories Michael has shared. The aluminum Christmas tree, watching Bonanza together on Sunday nights, and those pink elephants! We also have those photos in the Winner's Circle at Brandywine! We were happy that as Michael's godfather, he was the best man (koumbaro) at our wedding. A most memorable photo was when he was executing the crown exchange at our wedding. He was so short and we were both in platform shoes (after all, it was the 70s!). He reached as far as he could but he got the job done! Will miss him a lot. Glad we had a chance to see him and have a nice dinner together in Virginia when we lived there. Memory Eternal!

My world began in Stonehaven, Delaware with the Kledaras family as our next door neighbors. We were Irish Catholic, they, Greek Orthodox and our cultures blended beautifuly as did our frendships.Pete and my brother Jim grew up together and Vicki and I, just six months apart, were best of friends. I remember Mr. Kledaras as always hard working, smiling and with a cigar. I remember visiting The Little Drum restaurant in Wilmington and later the Coral SteakHouse in Wilmington Manor, the house with two pink elephants at the end of the driveway, guard dogs, the big beautiful corner lot they had, and so many interesting sights, sounds and aromas inside what was always a warm and welcoming home. Love and prayers to the entire Kledaras family. and especially to Vicki. Your neighbor for eternity, Michele
