Ronald Roy Anderson

Wilmington - Ronald Roy "Ron" Anderson, age 82, went to be with his Lord on Monday, May 14, 2018.

He was born in Bastrope, LA and was the son of the late Izola (Smith) and E. H. Anderson. He graduated from Andrew Jackson HS, Jacksonville, FL in 1953. He attended Florida State University, then transferred to the University of Florida where he received a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. Ron then pursued his Master's degree in Business Administration. During this time, he was drafted and proudly served his country in the US Army. Ron received his MBA in 1964. After graduating he started his career at the DuPont Company in 1965, in sales and administration. Ron retired in 1992. He then returned to work for the DuPont Conagra Venture (DCV) for over 10 years in their Human Resources Dept. and was also a Building Supervisor.

Ron was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church where he was a Deacon, Usher and Treasurer. He enjoyed photography and golf and mostly importantly his family.

Ron is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marcey Anderson; a son David Anderson (Jena) and 2 grandsons, David and Dawson.

A viewing will be held on Friday, May 18 from 6-8 pm at Faith Presbyterian Church, 720 Marsh Rd, Wilmington, DE 19803 where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 19 at 10 am. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Faith Presbyterian Church.

Marcey and Family - our prayers are with you during this very difficult time for all of y'all. We do have the assurance that Ron is celebrating his homecoming with his Lord and Savior, and that brings comfort to us. So many beautiful memories to reflect upon - Ron was a true friend, encourager, and showed compassion to us. Wish we were there for you; our prayers are lifting each of you up. Love the Anderson family.
