Wayne Gregg Obituary

Wayne Edward Gregg

Newark - Wayne Edward Gregg, 67, of Newark, DE left us suddenly while at home Thursday, November 2, 2017.

Born on November 1, 1950, the eldest son of Earl & Gertrude Gregg, graduate of Newark High School. Wayne married Patsy Haigh in 1968, a 2nd marriage to Donna Reed in 1984. He never avoided a day of work, but definitely dodged some haircuts. A passionate fan of Philadelphia sports, especially the Eagles, and could never be found without a chapstick. His expansive knowledge fed his love of crossword puzzles and the trivia that he enjoyed sharing with others. A good man, the consummate nice guy.

Wayne is survived by his children, Karlynn Breeden & husband Kidd of Newark, DE. Jason Gregg & wife Tiffanie of Las Vegas, NV. Kalin Gregg & wife Dina of Newark, DE. Zachary Gregg & wife Nicole of Newark, DE. Grandchildren Katelynn Luzzi, Brooke Luzzi, Grant Breeden, Shaun Gregg & wife Anna, Sierra Gregg, Savanna Gregg, Cameron Gregg, Annabella Gregg, Giovanni Gregg. Great-grandchildren Kaydence Quintana & Athena Gregg, and sister Janet Runyon.

Preceded in death by both parents, sister Kim, brother Alan & his son Shawn, brother Rodney and 2nd wife Donna. We encourage all to share their stories of Wayne at a celebration of his life, on Friday November 17, 11:00am at Faith Lutheran Church 2265 Red Lion Rd. in Bear, DE with a small reception following at the home of Patsy Hill.
