William Succarotte Obituary

William L. "Lil Bill" Succarotte, II

New Castle - William L. "Lil Bill" Succarotte, II , age 6, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, surrounded by loved ones. Lil Bill was born in Newark to Cassidi (Fronczkowski) and William L. Succarotte, I. He attended John G. Leach School.

Along with his parents, he is survived by his brother, Julian Succarotte; paternal grandmother, his "Mom Mom D" Deanna Malatesta; maternal grandparents, his "Tita" Ann and his "G Pop" Stanley Fronczkowski, Jr.; his uncles and aunts, Stanley Fronczkowski (Sarah), Vincent Fronczkowski (Charla), Anthony Fronczkowski (Shannon), Henry Gardner, Nicholas Succarotte, David Succarotte and numerous cousins who all loved him dearly. He is preceded in death by his brother, Aiden and his paternal grandfather, Earl Gardner.

Lil Bill was born very prematurely, at only 23 weeks. He beat so many odds and obstacles with a smile on his face. He loved with this whole heart and smiled with this whole body. He truly experienced life. He played baseball with the Challengers League, rode his pony, Apache at Brandywine Occupational Therapy, participated in the Boccia ball league at A.I. DuPont Hospital for children, made friends and won awards at his school, which was one of his favorite places.

He impacted the hearts of everyone who truly knew him. His determination, strength, perseverance and sense of humor were like no other. They taught all who knew him a valuable lesson about life. We will live the rest of our lives trying to Live Like Lil Bill.

The family wants to thank Lil Bill's village who cared for him, supported him, believed in him and loved him day after day. The nurses, therapists, teachers and doctors at John G. Leach, A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children, Nurses n' Kids and Bayada. Especially his primary nurses, Mary and Iris. Iris took care of Billy for 4 years, 5-6 nights a week. Billy grew so bonded to him and was one of his best buds. Thank you for taking such amazing care of him.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donation be made to Statewide Program (DSD) Att. Deaf-blind Program 630 E. Chestnut Hill Road, Newark, DE 19713, note in the memo "DB Family Weekend." This was one of Lil Bill's favorite weekends every year.

A Viewing will be held on Thursday, November 29 from 5-7 PM, where a Celebration of Lil Bill's Life will follow at 7 PM, at McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington. Burial will be private. In memory of their son, the family asks all to arrive in Bright Colors, Lil Bill's favorite choice.

Carol and all of the family of Lil Bill, my heart aches for all of you as I can't imagine losing a child. Especially such a loving, caring, smiling and energetic child. He must have taught everyone that came into contact with him the meaning of life that we all need to practice, Smile, be nice, be kind, enjoy life, we are all children of God!! May all that he taught you and his loving spirit guide and teach you in the days and years to follow as I am sure he was received by our Lord Jesus Christ with open arms. Let his spirit and love walk with you everyday and radiate kindness as he would have done.
