David Doney Obituary

David E. Doney, age 59, of Upper Darby, PA passed away on August 18, 2017. Born in Darby, PA, David was the beloved son of the late James P. and Regina H. Doney (nee Bradley). He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout at St. Cyril of Alexandria Church and was a 1977 graduate of Upper Darby High School. David worked for Upper Darby Township for 28 years. He was a member and past secretary of the AOH Black Jack Kehoe Division #4 of Delaware County and a past member of the Cardington Fire Company. David was an avid Phillies fan, who played and coached for the 69th Street Athletic Association. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his brother, Michael Doney. He is survived by his stepmother, Arlene C. Doney (nee Traub), his siblings Kathleen Grebb (John), James P. Doney, Jr., Paul Bonkoski (MaryLynn), Janice Gillin (Michael “Ace”), Kathleen Holtzinger (Dennis Hancock) and Kenneth Bonkoski (Linda), his goddaughter, Natalie Heisler (John), and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday, August 24, 2017 6:00-8:00 PM and Friday, August 25, 2017 9:00-9:50 AM The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor.
