Dave, Marilyn, and Family
Words can't express the sorrow and sadness we feel in hearing of the loss of your son, David. We have lots of fond memories of our Timber Cove days. All the "kids" playing and entertaining

Karen and family,
I didn't know you all that well; Dave and I worked together over the last 14 years in our shared association with Genworth. During that time I was blessed and privileged to have known him and to have enjoyed his company. We were fellow conspirators in the industry back then, sure we could do anything.
I am so saddened. My sense of loss overwhelms me. I can't imagine your pain right now.

Dearest Mengdens,
I was shocked and sadden when I received the news of David's passing. My heart goes out to his wife Karen, his children and the entire Mengden family. Although it has been many years since I last saw David, it only seems like yesterday we were hanging out at the Timber Cove pool, performing talent shows in the Mengden's garage, playing sports in the front yard or spending hours at AstroWorld. Those childhood days with David (and family) were the best of my life. David was and will always be one of my best friends (or as my daughter would say ... BFF's!). Selfishly asking why David left us so soon, I have no doubt God had reason and has a special assignment for him in Heaven. In closing, I thank God for sharing David with all of us who he so positively touched over the years.

Karen and the Mengden Family,
I will always remember Dave as unwavering in his loyalty as a friend. He was a best friend during one of the best times of my life. We shared so many great times together and it is hard to fathom his departing. He made me laugh. A lot. I still regularly use his/our original sayings that we coined as teenagers - and give him credit every time I use one. He was smart, gentle and was always there to listen. Although I have not seen Dave for many years, I miss him dearly.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. I join with so many others who knew David in offering our deepest sympathy in his passing. He was greatly loved and admired by all who knew him.
Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back on sweet memories help comfort you in the days to come. For me, I have nothing but sweet memories of David and your wonderful family. It was a comfort being your Deerhurst neighbor as I grew up so many years ago. I always loved the way David's smile could brighten a room.
