Grace J. Brogan Cannon

1927-2018 Grace J. Brogan Cannon, 91, of Ridley Park died December 31, 2018 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born in County Donegal, Ireland, daughter of the late Neil and Bridget McIntyre Brogan, she moved to the United States in 1956 and lived in Lansdowne before moving to her late residence 53 years ago. Grace was educated and attended nursing school in Leicheshire, England and was employed as a Registered Nurse at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital before retiring in 1992. She was very proud of her opportunity to help others as a nurse. Grace was a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Phillies, but most important was her loving family. She was wife of the late John J. Cannon who died on June 18, 2013 after 52 years of marriage and sister of the late Hannah Sullivan, Neil Brogan, James Brogan, Ellen Gallagher, Bridget Byrne and Maryann. Grace was mother to Hugh Cannon (Jackie), Maureen Clark (Louis), John Cannon, Jr. (Laura) and Christine Cannon, sister to Sarah Curran, Mom-Mom to Christopher, Daniel, Collin, Zachary, Austin and Grace and great-grandmother to Kaydence, Braelynn and Shaelynn. Funeral Mass 10 AM Tuesday at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone, PA 19022 where friends may call 8:45 to 9:45 AM. Burial SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
