Harry D. Siegfried, born September 9, 1954 in Darby Pennsylvania, died suddenly on September 19, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Preceded in death by his parents Richard and Margaret Siegfried and his father-in-law Frank Setcavage. A longtime resident of Seven Fields, PA, he was a loving husband of 36 years to Caryn; father of Andrew (Jennifer), Elizabeth (John Hyland) and Catherine; grandfather of Grant Siegfried; brother of Richard H. (Helen) Siegfried, Jr., Peg (Kevin) Rae, Denise (Richard) Scala and Daniel (Carol) Siegfried; son in law of Rita Setcavage; brother in law of Justine (Fred) Dial; also survived by 18 nieces and nephews. Harry graduated from St. James High School in Philadelphia and went on to graduate from Virginia Military Institute in 1978. He was an avid lover of golf and his family. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday September 24, 2018 at St. Kilian Parish, Cranberry, PA. Memorials suggested to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of W. So very sorry to hear of Harry's passing. I went to St. Gabriel's and St James with Harry and we rode together to school in our senior year. I cannot count the laughs and good times we had. It has been a long time since we last saw each other and just the other day I had some buddies laughing about one of our goofy high-school misadventures. He was a great guy and I'm glad to have been able to call him a friend. God rest and bless his beautiful soul.

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Harry's passing. I lived up the street in Norwood and have many fond memories of his smile and personality. I feel quite fortunate to have seen him when we had the Norwood Swim Club reunion a short while back. My heartfelt condolences to the entire family. We are fond of saying that Norwood is very much like an extended family and the Siegfried clan is no small part of that family .

I just heard this morning....I am sorry for your loss. What a Great Man! It was evident to all that Harry loved the Lord & cared about others.I know this must be so hard for the family.
I played football with Harry for two years at VMI.
We came in a rats together and he was a special guy.

So sorry and saddened to hear of the loss of Harry. I had the great fortune and pleasure of spending 4 years playing football with Harry at VMI and 1 year rooming with him. He was truely a great guy and always made me and the other roomates smile and laugh. I only have great memories of Harry, what a wonderfull classmate, teammate, and roomate. His family should be very proud of what a great person he was. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Caryn, Andrew, Lizzie, Katie, & all extended family - we are speechless with the loss of Harry. The voicemail from Tina just keeps playing in my head & does not seem possible. Even yesterday at the viewing, Harry seemed to be taking a nap.

I am saddened to hear this news. Harry was my BR and Rat roommate. He was very feisty but we all survived our Rat Year. Don't get Harry upset, he was a tiger, but I have only fond, scary and stress filled memories making it thru VMI our 1st Year. I always missed not seeing Harry at our Reunions, but was happy to see him at our 40th. I am shocked and saddened as many are at his passing. Rest in Peace BR...We are on the way!!
