Isabel Hendrix

1930 - 2021

Isabel Hendrix (nee Pryor), 90, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2021 at her home in Kernersville, North Carolina. Born on November 18, 1930 to the late Thurmond Hunter and Helen Hanner Pryor in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Isabel graduated from Ward-Belmont College in Nashville, Tennessee. She lived in Pennsylvania for 43 years before moving to North Carolina in 2013. She was an active member of Elam United Methodist Church in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania where she enjoyed playing the handbells. She devoted years to raising 6 children, enjoyed traveling the world with her devoted husband Bill, spending time at the beach and was a beloved friend to many. She is preceded in death by her one and only love William “Bill” Hendrix Jr., her son D. Pryor Hendrix and his wife, Jane and her grandson Joseph Michael Albany, Jr. She is survived by her 5 children W. Blake Hendrix (Eleanor), J. Hunter Hendrix (Kathleen), J. Kirk Hendrix (Cheryl), R. Bradley Hendrix and Diane Albany (Joseph): 10 grandchildren Jimi Elizabeth Helen Hendrix, Hunter K. Hendrix, Taylor C. Hendrix, Kristen Hendrix, Ashley Hendrix, James David Hendrix, J. Blake Hendrix, Hannah Isabel Hendrix, Andrew Albany and Isabella Rose Albany A Celebration of Life Service is being planned for a later date.
