Isola D. Brown

Isola D. Brown, 83 CUSD School Teacher Isola D. Brown of Chester, went home to be with the Lord on March 25, 2014 at Manderin Hospice in Harwood, MD surrounded by her family. Born in Nashville, TN she was the daughter of the late Saintfield Dudley, Sr., and Beatrice Newsome Dudley. Mrs. Brown came to Chester at an early age where she attended Chester Public Schools. She graduated from Chester High School in the class of 1947, and continued her education graduating from Cheyney University. She was a faithful member of Murphy A.M.E. Church in Chester where she served as a Missionary, and Trustee Representative on the First Episcopal District. She was also a member of NAACP, Cheyney Alumni Association and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. She was predeceased by 6 siblings. Survivors: by 3 daughters, Quintonia Pittman of Boothwyn, PA, Millicent Potts of Upper Marlboro, MD, and Janice Harris of Bowie, MD; 3 grandchildren, Aisha Smith (Anthony), Noble Potts lll (Nykia), and Collins J. Harris, IV; 2 great grandchildren Brianna and JaNiyah, a host of other relatives and friends.
