James Barton Obituary

James “Jimmy” Barton, 76, of Pine Hill, NJ, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May11, 2019. Born and raised in Westbrook Park, Delaware County, Jimmy resided in Pine Hill, NJ for the past 40 years. He proudly served his country in the Vietnam war with the United States Marine Corps. Upon his discharge from the Marines, Jimmy entered into a sales career in the nuclear sector, a position that saw him travel across the country for many years. Aside from spending time with his family, there were two things that brought him a great deal of joy. One was reminiscing about his vacations with his grandparents in the Villas, NJ where he spent many summers. The other was when he was enjoying a meal from Charlie’s Hamburgers, always with a vanilla shake. Although very sentimental, perhaps his greatest asset was his sense of humor and his ability to make those around him laugh and smile. He will be sorely missed by his family and the many friends he made during his time here. Jimmy was predeceased by his parents, Harvey and Mary Barton and his former wife, Phyllis Barton, the mother of his three sons. Survived by his wife, Susan; sons Jimmy, Sean (Melissa) and Danny (Lunden Marie); his “Favorite” sister Maryalice (John) Graf; four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements being handled by Ora L. Wooster Funeral Home, Clementon, NJ. Burial private.

Our deepest condolences to his children, Susan and the entire Barton family. We had many Saturday morning conversations over yard work over our 10+ years as neighbors. He always had a good story and never hesitated to offer assistance. We will miss him dearly. Jim's service to our country should be celebrated, as should his entire life. Rest easy Jim.
