John was also a Young Life Leader and led the Garnet Valley Young Life ministry from 1965-1972. John was a noted master craftsman in the field of cabinetry and fine woodworking. He leveraged his keen insight of his craft with his unparalleled creativity to develop and construct works of art. John was a true visionary. He shared his gift of teaching beyond the classroom with people from all walks of life, mentoring them not only in woodworking and construction, but teaching them about life in a way that only John could. The skills, knowledge and wisdom that John ingrained in so many of his students formed a solid foundation that would serve as the catalyst for future successes of those individuals. John was a friend of mine and my woodshop teacher at Garnt Valley High School. He lived in our township for many years in the barn that he converted into his home. What a great man he was. John you touched so many lives in and out of school. Thank you for your teaching and your friendship. Stephen Quigley, Sr.
