Joseph J. Crilly Jr.

1928 - 2016

1928-2016 Joseph J. Crilly, Jr, age 87, of Brookhaven, PA, formerly of South Philadelphia, PA, died Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at home surrounded by his loving family. Joe attended St. Joseph’s Prep School in Philadelphia, PA. He was employed with Beck Engraving Company in Philadelphia, PA and then in later years, worked at Fair Acres Nursing Home in Lima, PA, in their maintenance department. Joe was a proud US Army Veteran, serving in the Korean War, receiving the Korean Service Medal, with a Service Bronze Star, and a United Nations Service Medal. Joe was a long time member of the Church of Our Lady of Charity and was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. He was the past treasurer and assistant coach of the Brookhaven Jets. Joe enjoyed the Mummers and Notre Dame Football. He loved spending time at Ocean City, MD, and his back yard pool. Most of all, Joe cherished having his family around him, especially Friday night pizza. He was the son of the late Joseph J. and Anna (McDonnell) Crilly, Sr., brother of the late Anna and Marie and grandfather of the late Julianna Grace. Survivors: Loving Wife of 61 years: Joan M. (Peck) Crilly; Children: Joseph J.
