Joseph Donohue Obituary
Upon graduation from Ridley High School in June of 2012, Joseph enlisted in the United States Army. He was a Combat Veteran of the Afghanistan War and a recipient of the Combat Infantry Badge, among many other awards, having served with the 101st Airborne Division, Task Force Currahee as part of the ISAF in 2013. He was currently serving with the Pennsylvania National Guard, Bravo Co. 1-111th Infantry Battalion. He was known for his big smile, being kind hearted and a talented artist who will be dearly missed by his family, friends and comrades.
He is predeceased by his grandfathers James C. Donohue Jr. and Martin J. Delaney Jr.
Survivors; Beloved son of Michael and JoAnn Donohue, loving brother of Matthew (Jillian) Donohue. Cherished grandson of Henrietta A. Donohue and Judith J. Delaney, dear Godson of Catherine and Steven Willoughby and many aunts, uncles, cousins.
Funeral Mass: 11 am Tuesday at Notre Dame de Lourdes, 950 Fairview Rd. Swarthmore, PA. 19081. Viewing: 6-9 pm Monday at McCausland Garrity Marchesani, 343 S. Chester Pike Glenolden, PA. 19036 and 9:45-10:45 am on Tuesday at Notre Dame de Lourdes. Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.

I never met him but he was a fellow soldier of my son Thomas. I have a picture of the two of them in Afghanistan, of course Joe has a big smile on his face and Tom, as usual, looks serious as a heart attack. That picture is hanging in my cubicle and will stay there as long as I am here. My condolences.
