My heart breaks for your amazing family. Kevin was one of Steven's first friends from St Thomas. They were both so shy so they clicked. I still have memories of Kevin and Danny B. sitting in my family room while we were having a "Homeroom mothers" meeting. Once they relaxed, the friendships bloomed. I was just looking at pictures last week from Steven's birthday parties and, of course, Kevin is in all of them. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Kevin was so sweet, full of life, and funny. I wish there was something I could do to ease your pain. I am grateful that my son had the opportunity to have Kevin as a special childhood friend

Dear McLaughlin family we were shocked and saddened to read about Kevin's passing in the paper. He was a part of our St. Thomas school family so many years ago. We are thinking of your family with much love and sympathy. God bless your son. Janice and Dave Montgomery
