Connie, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your husband. He was my boss in 2003-2004 and went to high school with my cousin Bob Shoemaker. He was the best boss I ever had.

Mike was my boss back in 2003-2004. On hot days he would tell me to get my work done on the rooftop units by 10 am and give him a call to let him know I was ok. There aren't enough bosses like that. I miss him terribly. He was a great man. It is devastating that I will never see him again.

It's the little things, the small, everyday occurrences that you'll remember. The laughs, the stories, the smiles. And even though it seems like you can never recover from your loss, it is these very memories that will help push the pain away and bring back the smiles.

I was a former Area Manager in Facilities and first met Mike when he was a manager for a Mechanical Contractor maintaining the A/C equipment in the Nurses Education Building. Mike was a caring man and had a lot of respect for the mechanics who worked for him. He was a hard worker who came into work early and stayed later. He will be missed by all, the University lost a dedicated man.

I will never forget the day I met Mike, he was looking for a home for his family, as they were relocating to Orlando Florida. His personality was as big as the room he would occupy. Our families quickly became the best of friends and were for many years to come. We lost touch after Mike, Connie and the girls returned to their home of Philadelphia. Mike was Godfather to my son, James Everett and for the first four years of Jamie's life, Mike and Connie showed Jamie great love and affection. We were family and you will be missed by all that knew you.
My condolences to the family. Remember that "Those who live in the hearts of others never die."
Keeping you in my thoughts during this difficult time,
Karen

My dad, Mike D'Amico. The strongest most loving man I have ever seen. There is not a moment that goes by that I don't miss my dad. He taught me everything. How to be strong and independent. How to fight for what I believe in. How to cherish music and animals. How family goes above everything. The love I have for my dad goes beyond anything I could ever explain. I could tell a million stories about my dad but there is no need. Everyone who knows or has even met my dad knows him by his smile or fun personality. I love you daddy and I will miss you every second my life.
