Michael R. D'Amico

1947 - 2014

Michael R. D'Amico Aldan Resident Michael R. D'Amico passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 surrounded by his family. Mike was born in Philadelphia on February 25, 1947. He graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Private Infantry Rifleman. He worked at the University of Pennsylvania as Facilities Supervisor where he had a great deal of love and respect for his employees. Mike was an accomplished musician who began singing and playing the piano at the age of 3. He spent several years singing on Atlantic City's Steel Pier as a solo performer and with his band. He spent 13 years at his vacation home in Cape May, N.J. where he enjoyed meeting new people and participating in all of the campground activities. He was a crossing guard at all Sunday masses at St. Eugene's Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Mary (nee Santangelo) D'Amico and his granddaughter Angelina. Survivors: He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Connie (nee Pastore); daughters Dawn D'Amico (Donald Hill) and Stefaine Younkers (Michael); brother Ralph (Barbara) and nine grandchildren; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and nephews. Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing, Monday, July 7, 2014 at 9:30a.m., followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00a.m. in St. Eugene Church, 200 S. Oak Ave., Primos, PA 19018.
