Myrtle Tress Obituary

Myrtle L. Tress (nee Brown), 90, of Upper Darby died Aug. 21, 2015, at Manor Care Wallingford.
Born and raised in Raleigh, NC, Myrtle was a resident of Upper Darby for 30 years before moving to Tampa, FL. After 28 years, Myrtle and her late husband Alan returned to be near family. She was a Sunday school teacher and deacon of Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Clifton Heights and served as a crossing guard at Holy Cross School, Her husband Alan, a former Upper Darby police officer, died in 2011.
Survivors include her four sons, Jeffrey E., Herbert C., Lee M., Jay R. Tress; sisters, Lessie Williams and Lottie Flewelling; and four grandchildren.
Service: Funeral Service will be 11 AM, Wednesday at the Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington, 2900 State Road, Drexel Hill, PA 19026. Visitation after 10 AM. Interment: Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill.
