Robert Gardner Obituary

Robert Francis Gardner, 89, of Ridley Park, Pa., passed away on April 22,2016, surrounded by family members at the Parkhouse Senior Care Facility in Royersford, Pa. Born and raised in East Landsdowne, Pa., he was the son of the late George and Veronica Gardner. Bob was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during World War II. He worked as a construction foreman for 45 years with DelMont Utilities. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and summers at the shore. Bob was a hard working family man who, along with his wife Barbara, raised six children. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Barbara (Summy) Gardner; his children, Robert, Kenneth, Gail, Stephen, William and Eric, along with 7 grandchildren and 7 great grand children. A memorial  mass will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 7:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to call from 5:306:45 at the Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, 990 Fairview Road, Swarthmore, Pa. 19081
