Susan Baker Obituary

Susan M. Baker, 53, formerly of Glenolden, passed away Friday, March 3, 2023 at Samaritan Hospice in Vorhees, NJ after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Born March 13, 1969 in Springfield, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth J. Baker and Patricia (Miller) Baker, who survives her. She attended Indian Lane School. Susie had a strong love for her family and celebrating holidays. She was a lover of music, especially Olivia Newton John and the movie 'Grease.' She was also an avid Eagles and Phillies fan. In addition to her mother, Patricia, Susie is survived by her siblings, Stephen J. Baker, OSA, Christopher Baker, Mary Anne Baker and Michael Baker; nieces and nephews, Colleen (Austin), Kenny, Christopher, Brittany (Thomas), Liam and Nevan; great nephews, RJ and Maverick and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her father, Kenneth, she was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents. Friends are invited to attend her visitation from 7-9 PM, Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Cavanagh Family Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike, Norwood and again from 9-10 AM, Thursday March 9, 2023 at St. George's Church, Lamont Ave., Glenolden, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield. In lieu of flowers, Susie's family requests that a memorial contribution be made to The American Cancer Society or to a local animal shelter of the donor's choice.
