Thomas J. Colaiezzi

Thomas J. Colaiezzi Long Time Yeadon Resident Thomas J. Colaiezzi, died on November 30, 2011 at the age of 80. Mr. Colaiezzi graduated from St. Thomas Moore High School in 1948 and from St. Joseph's College in 1960. A member of Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, he served on its' Pastoral Council, Finance Committee and RCIA team. He was also a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. He was a member of the Men of Malvern for more than 40 years. He was also a member of the 10th Synod of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia 2002. Mr. Colaiezzi began his career in medical publishing in 1959 with the W. B. Saunders Company. He became production Manager for Lea & Febiger medical publishers in 1966 and retired in 1993. An honorable discharged Navy Veteran, he served aboard the USS LST 391 during the Korean War. Survivors: His beloved wife of 50 years Margaret Ann (nee Koob) Colaiezzi; his children Susan (Jeffrey) Short of Drexel Hill, Stephen (Sharon) of Emmaus, PA, Paul (Carrie) of Scranton, Ann (James) Brown of Coral Gables, FL and Edward (Angela) Colaiezzi of Exton; 14 grandchildren; brothers Eugene and Robert Colaiezzi; sister Rita Selby of California. Funeral Mass Monday 10:30 AM at B.V.M. Church, MacDade Blvd. & Main St., Darby, PA 19023. Visitation Sunday evening 6 to 8 PM at the Logan Funeral Home, 57 S. Eagle Rd., Havertown, PA 19083 and Monday morning 9:30to 10:15 AM at the church. Interment Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family prefers contributions to the B.V.M.
